SUPPORT

There are many different ways your business can help support work-based learning experiences at Circle Public Schools such as:

  • a mentor

  • being a guest speaker

  • sharing real-world experience

  • real-world project collaboration

  • workplace tours

JOB SHADOW

A job shadow is a one-day experience observing at a company or job site.

Objectives of a job shadow are to enable students to see day-to-day responsibilities, experiences, and work environment.

Your commitment:

  1. Participation in the Circle Public Schools Career Expo.

  2. One 4-6 hour visit to your business showing basic day-to-day functions and responsibilities.

  3. Participate in a student-led interview about your business.

  4. Completion of the Job Shadow Evaluation.

INTERNSHIP

An internship is a semester-long experience. Students work according to their school schedule for approximately 60 minutes per session.

Internships provide in-depth, on-the-job experiences.

Your commitment:

  1. Participation in the Circle Public Schools Career Expo.

  2. Minimum one semester (16-18 weeks).

  3. Maximum of 9 hours weekly.

  4. Hourly pay is optional but encouraged.
