Our Student Council is hosting our winter social on Friday, December 2nd from 3:30pm-5:15pm. The theme this year is Winter Wonderland/Ugly Sweater, so students can join in on the fun and wear their ugliest sweaters! This student event will begin right after school. Students who have purchased a ticket and are in good academic standing will be able to attend. In order to be in good academic standing, they must not be academically ineligible. Typically, the eligibility list is run on Friday mornings. However, due to the Thanksgiving holiday, the list will be compiled on Monday morning (11/28/22). If your student is on the list because they have two or more F grades in their classes, they will not be able to attend.
Students will be able to stay in the building after school on this day while they wait for the Social to begin. Students will be transported back to their base elementary schools following the Social or they can be picked up by parents at 5:15 at CMS. Tickets will be sold in the front office until Thursday, December 1st. We will have two types of tickets available for purchase this year. Gold tickets will be available for $2 and include hot chocolate and chips. Blue tickets will include two slices of pizza, a bag of chips, and hot chocolate and will be $4. Tickets will be distributed after purchase, during 7th and 8th grade lunches on December 2. To attend students must not be failing two or more classes as of Monday, November 28. Please make sure to communicate with your student if they have permission to stay for this event.
What is the Social? There will be many different activities for students to participate in from dodgeball, a dance in the gym, a cake walk, karaoke, crafts, video games, board games, and more! Our socials are the perfect opportunity for students to have the change to hang out with each other and have fun! We hope to see your student there!
