Parent Teacher Confrences

Circle Middle School Parent / Guardian,

It is unbelievable but we are days away from spring break. But, before we go on break, we have Student-led conferences to take care of. They will take place next week. By this time you should have received communication from your child's Advisory teacher with instructions for signing up through SignUpGenius. CMS teachers have set up times throughout the week of  March 7-10. These conferences will take place virtually through Google Meets. If you haven’t already please choose a time that both you and your child can attend this conference virtually. They have worked hard over the last month to put together a presentation for you. Track practice is also starting this week. If your child will be participating in track, please keep in mind that they need to be present during this conference and you will need to sign up for a time that does not conflict with track practice. Please note there will be no track practice on Wednesday, 9.

This conference will only take place with your child's advisory teacher. If you have questions for any other teachers, let them know and they can get in contact with them. If technology will be an issue, please reach out to your child's advisory teacher and we can come up with another solution. Also, if you do not receive an email from SignUpGenius, please email your child’s advisory teacher or call the front office.

A few other pieces of information:

  •  We have chosen to do these conferences virtually due to previous positive feedback about the convenience for parents/guardians.

  • A student-led conference is a preplanned meeting in which students demonstrate responsibility for their academic performance by providing a review of their work for parents and teachers. We hope to get your support to ensure these conferences take place. We believe these conferences are important for your child's investment in their own learning.

  • Please understand that you as a parent or guardian are always welcome to schedule parent meetings with teachers and administrators at any time of the school year. If there is ever a concern or simply want to check in with teachers you can call the office and or email your child's teachers directly.
