The Wichita Alumnae Panhellenic is now accepting scholarship applications from young women graduating from the Wichita area high schools in spring of 2023, entering college in the fall of 2023 and plan to participate in the recruitment for a sorority membership.
Our scholarship is intended for young women to make sorority membership a part of their collegiate experience. To learn more about the benefits of belonging to a women’s Greek organization, please visit The Sorority Life - National Panhellenic Conference. We are interested in women who excel academically (3.3 unweighted grade average and above), are involved in their high schools, hold leadership positions and are able to list community service experience (through school, sports, work, church etc.). We want all senior women who are above average in these areas.
Wichita Alumnae Panhellenic is a local organization whose membership is made up of alumnae members of women’s Greek organizations, commonly referred to as sororities. Although the members are from different sororities and universities, they serve a common purpose of promoting Greek membership. Please encourage young women at your school who: 1) Want to be part of a Greek sorority 2) Have Leadership and involvement experience 3) Have Community service experience (hours) 4) Have an unweighted grade point average 3.3 or above
We have 3-4 scholarship awards in the amount of $1,000 each for this year.
The applications submitted will be scored and finalists will be chosen for a personal interview. Scholarship applications must be received by January 28, 2023. Interviews of the finalists will be held Saturday, April 15, 2023. New NPC rules require checks are payable to the College/University but the check will be presented to the recipient at our May meeting.
