The purpose of the Circle Foundation Scholarship is to recognize a deserving senior at Circle High School. This year, a $1000 scholarship will be awarded to one applicant.
ELIGIBILITY:
Any graduating senior at Circle High School is eligible to apply for this award. The applicant shall have been accepted (or have made application and is pending) to a recognized institution of higher learning, including trade or technology schools.
SELECTION CRITERIA:
Excellent citizenship and character.
Participation in school and community activities.
Financial need to further education.
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:
The applicant shall:
Complete the attached application. (Neatness, grammar/spelling and punctuation will be considered in scoring. You may add extra pages.)
Submit a copy of high school transcript.
Submit a short essay (double spaced) outlining your future educational plans, how your school and community involvement has influenced your life, and any other information we should know about you, including a short description of your financial need.
The selection committee requires a letter of reference from a community member or employer (may not be a family member)
PRESENTATION: The award will be presented to the winning candidate at the CHS Senior Awards Night.
PAYMENT: Two payments of$500 will be made to the chosen school. The first will be made at the beginning of the school year after enrollment and the second after verifying second semester enrollment and GPA of 1 st semester classes.
