Kansas law HB2299 will require changes to district policy concerning student cell phone and personal device use during the school day beginning in the 2026–2027 school year.
Circle Public Schools is working to implement the requirements of Kansas House Bill 2299 while supporting students, families, and staff through the transition. Circle Public Schools is currently developing the policies required to comply with Kansas House Bill 2299 while helping ensure a smooth transition for students, families, and staff.
As guidance continues to evolve, the Board of Education and district leadership team will continue reviewing and updating policies, daily procedures, storage expectations, definitions, allowable exceptions under the law, and other operational details related to personal communication devices and social media use.
