Sports Performance is a higher-level strength and conditioning class. Students will start by reviewing basic multi-joint movement patterns and quickly progress. Various types of warm-ups and cool downs will be learned to increase students' knowledge of how to best prepare their bodies for activity. Students will then further their understanding of resistance, plyometric, linear and lateral speed training exercises through motor learning with a major emphasis on using proper technique. Lastly, the students will be introduced to basic sports nutrition information and strategies and how it can enhance their overall health and performance.

Requirements: Physical / Medical Clearance on file in CHS Office from Medical Professional after May 1 of the previous year.

  • For continued enrollment students must earn a “C” or higher in the previous semester of any Physical Education course.
