In this course, students will begin to develop compositional ideas on their own. Exploration of media, particularly color media, will be the main focus of this class. Media used may include colored pencil, tempera paint, watercolor paint, color prints, and/or acrylic paint. In addition, students will look at historical aspects of artists and their impact on our culture. We will continue to study the elements and principles of art, as well as begin to write final critiques of our own and others' work. Students will be expected to show in monthly and semester shows as a part of their criteria in the class.
