Residential Carpentry II

Prerequisites: Passing grade in Residential Carpentry I and teacher approval.

This course is designed to further develop skills and techniques introduced in Residential Carpentry I. Areas covered include safety, advanced machining techniques, product design and development, wood identification, wood and adhesive science/technology, sheet stock production, and application, fasteners, wood finishing. Students will work closely with the instructor to design, develop, and build their own project(s). Emphasis will be on the trades and industries of builders, general contractors, and similar industries. SAFETY is again paramount.

• Course Fees: Second-semester project fees will be calculated on an individual project basis.
