Prerequisites: Passing grade in Woodworking Principles.

This course is designed to further develop skills and techniques introduced in Woodworking Principles. Areas covered include safety, advanced machining techniques, product design and development, wood identification, wood and adhesive science/technology, sheet stock production, and application, fasteners, wood finishing. Students will work with the instructor to design, develop, and build their own project(s). Emphasis will be on the trades and industries of cabinetmakers, furniture designers, builders, millwrights, general contractors, and similar industries. SAFETY is again paramount.
