This course is for beginning woodworkers and has ties to manufacturing, drafting, math, science, and art. Areas covered include safety, measurement, hand tool, and machine use, project plan reading, adhesive and fastener basics, basic design concepts, material considerations and selection, and cost calculations for beginning projects. More advanced projects will be introduced as skills are learned and demonstrated. SAFETY is paramount in this and all woodworking courses at CHS.
- Course Fees: Second-semester project fees will be calculated on an individual project basis.
