Production Methods II is a continuation of Production Methods I. This course is a comprehensive, technical level course designed to instruct students in the knowledge and skills common to manufacturing occupations using a variety of materials (wood, plastic, metal, composites). This course's primary attention will be industrial production processes which will include CNC routing, CNC plasma, water jet, plastics, ceramics, metal casting, and polymers. The study of mass production, lean production, and Just In Time principles of products and manufacturing operations will provide the student with the essential background related to the manufacturing production process.
