This course will continue with the study of the Spanish language, culture, and history through a combination of conversational study and presentation, further study of grammar and composition, short stories, and poetry. A variety of activities will be used and students can expect regular homework and both oral and written evaluations. Speaking Spanish will be a requirement in the class. This will be reflected in the daily grade. Students will also have the opportunity to work with elementary children. This course is for the serious and highly motivated student, and for the student who plans to study Spanish after high school.
Enrollment Requirements also include three years HS Spanish with passing grade or completion of Spanish 3 with a passing grade and HS cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.0 as a junior or senior; or ACT reading 15 or higher and ACT writing 18 or higher; or Accuplacer placement of 255 on both reading and writing.
