Students in Band learn basic musicianship in the context of rehearsals and performances. Enrollment in Band involves participation in marching band, concert band, and pep band. Concepts and techniques taught in this course include marching fundamentals, concert etiquette, music history, music theory, instrument care/maintenance, and performance skills- including tone, intonation, balance, blend, rhythm, timbre, embouchure, sticking, style, and articulation. Due to the nature of this year-long course, students are not able to drop this course at semester.
