Financial Algebra is a math class where students learn to connect algebra to real life. This algebra based and technology- oriented course covers these topics: investing, banking, credit, income taxes, insurance and household budgeting. Algebra mechanics and problem-solving skills are reviewed and applied throughout the course. Advanced mathematics topics such as piecewise functions, regression, limits, expo-nential functions, and linear/ quadratic systems are in-troduced as well. Students will be earning, spending, saving and investing for the rest of their life, and this class will give them the understanding and confidence to manage their money.
