This course begins with a review of early American history and continues to present day. First semester topics include the foundations of our country and government, Civil War Reconstruction, and the late 1800s-early 1900s. Second-semester topics include a review of WWI, the Roaring Twenties, the Great Depression, a review of WWII, an emphasis on the Cold War era, and the Civil Rights Movement. This course will involve classroom discussion, multimedia presentations, and group and individual activities.
