Two different forms came home last week. One for Grace Med Dental-  Please return ASAP so we can assist in planning for dental services.  No screenings will take place this year.  The second form is for student pictures.  Pictures will be taken on Oct. 7th, throughout the day.  Remote / Virtual students please come at 2:00 for your picture time.  If you want to purchase pictures, please complete for form.  If not, these are the pictures that will go into the yearbook so we ask each student have their picture taken.

sPiRiT WeEk!!!  Tuesday is Hawaiian/Tacky Tourist- break out those fanny packs 🌺🌸🌊🍍!, Wednesday is Country (unless you do not want country for your school pictures 🀠), Thursday is favorite college team day βš½οΈπŸ€πŸˆβšΎοΈπŸ₯ŽπŸπŸŽπŸŽ¨πŸŽΌ and Friday is Blue and Gold blow out πŸ’™πŸ’›πŸ’™πŸ’›.

Update on Personalized Learning Wednesday's-  We are about 1/2 way through teaching your our students what it means to have a period of time where they will have input on their learning.  This does not translate to "free time"... as some students have come home and expressed.  Today and tomorrow in advisement, students will be brainstorming what and ways to learn about high interest ideas.  Incorporated into their learning (they have to apply skills) will be reading, writing, communication, creation of a product, and all other kinds of ideas.  YES this is new, YES your student probably does not have a good grasp on what it will eventually be- but they are learning.  Ask them this "If you could learn about anything and have the time to do so with guidance, what would it be?"  It might be a career related idea, it might be food or cooking related, it might even be something centered around gaming.  All of these require the ability to read, write, know math, know history, etc...  So that is where we are with Wednesdays.  We are looking forward to seeing the growth and the excitement the student bring with their AH HAA'S!  This weeks quote is tied in with curiosity-  that is key to personalized learning.

β€œYou can teach a student a lesson for a day; but if you can teach him to learn by creating curiosity, he will continue the learning process as long as he lives.”  Clay P. Bedford
