Our Late Starts will continue with the themes of treating each other with respect, acceptance and setting up Rachel's Challenges in our lives. We welcome the staff from Butler County CAC in presenting Teen Lure. These lessons encompass developing healthy boundaries, evaluation of relationships and online safety. As I am walking around seeing the lessons they really make you think. Ask your student what they have learned or what has been an AH HA for them during this time.

Just a quick reminder regarding Circle School health policies- especially since the Flu has taken such a toll this year: Any student that has a fever of 99.6 and has other symptoms (headache, sore throat, nausea, etc) stay home and be fever free for 24 hours. Any fever of 100- stay home and be fever free for 24 hours. Diagnosis of Flu- 5 days following the first onset of symptoms or until fever free for 24 hours. This policy in more detail can be found on USD375.org under documents / policies. Should your student be gone for 24 hours we will collect work for them in the front office. They can also check their Google Classrooms. Another good reminder- wash your hands!

Tomorrow February 5th is designated as a conference night. to catch the students that need a little extra input regarding their academic performance at this time due signs of concerns. Teachers will be making contact to schedule a time with parents. If you as a parent also have concerns please reach out to us at cmsfrontdesk@usd375.org and we will share with the respective teams. Regular conferences for all students will be held in March at the end of the 3rd 9 weeks. We are looking forward to seeing all parents and students at that time.

In the spirit of Rachel's Challenge we are presenting a word of the week: This week the word is PERSEVERANCE aka GRIT. Very important at this time of the year when the sun is not shining, the cold weather just makes it hard to get out- BUT we must persevere when we just don't feel like it. When situations do not go in the direction we think they should- persevere. When school work is overwhelming- persevere!

Have a great week! #thrivein375
