Mrs. Oaks is the Academic Support Teacher at Benton
Grade School. She has been teaching for 11 years and eight of those
years have been at Benton. Mrs. Oaks received her teaching degrees from
Wichita State University. She has a BA in Elementary Education and a
Master’s degree in Special Education. Her favorite thing about teaching
is being with children and watching them learn to read! She has been
married to Terry Oaks for 33 years and they have four grown children
and 1 granddaughter. Her hobbies include reading, working in her garden,
watching KU basketball, and spending time with her family. She enjoys
traveling and her favorite vacation trip was to Maui, Hawaii!
