Students at BGS read lots of books.  Reading Counts! is a way of evaluating the student's understanding of a book. 

Each class has slightly different procedures, starting in second grade, students read Reading Counts books and take quizzes over them.  The Reading Counts! program allocates points to the student based on the test score and the point level of the book.
